Scott Thomas grew up on job sites. His father ran a family electrical company, and that's where Scott learned the discipline and craftsmanship that go into work built to last.
In 2013 Scott partnered with his father again to launch Option One Solar. Since then the company has grown into a Southern California solar installer with more than $150 million in revenue, holding California C-10 and C-46 licenses (#985340) and running on a culture of accountability.
In 2022 Scott acquired Chaparosa Roofing, a roofing company with more than 57 years in business, and grew it from about $2 million to over $9 million in revenue. Today homeowners can get solar and roofing from one team, with one point of contact.
Option One is still a family business. Three of Scott's children hold leadership roles across the solar and roofing companies, and his oldest son, a 10-year U.S. Air Force veteran, works on the construction side.
