Careers

Come and work for a company that answers the phone.

We have been hiring and training in Southern California since 1970. Our crews are employees, not subcontractors, and the people who install your neighbour’s system are the ones who come back when it needs service.

Who you would be joining

A long time to be answering the same phone.

Most of the companies that sold solar in California ten years ago no longer exist. We opened in the High Desert in 1970 and we are on the third generation of the same family, which shapes almost everything about what it is like to work here.

  1. 1970The doors open in the High Desert.A family contracting business starts with an unglamorous promise: answer the phone, do the work properly, stand behind it afterwards.
  2. The solar yearsThe work changes. The standard doesn't.The family goes all in as a licensed contractor that engineers, permits and builds its own work — not a sales operation reselling somebody else's labour.
  3. TodayThird generation, four counties.San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange and San Diego, more than five thousand roofs behind us, and the same phone number we started with.
What that means for you

Our crews are employees, not subcontractors.

You would be on our payroll, working with the same people every week, on jobs this company engineered and will service for the next twenty-five years. Nobody here gets handed to whichever crew happens to be free.

Four things about working here

  • The design comes before the price.Twelve months of real usage, the actual roof, and what the homeowner told us is coming next. Nobody is asked to install something that was sold before it was engineered.
  • We take on systems we didn't install. The orphans other companies walked away from. It is the most interesting diagnostic work in the trade, and it is how a lot of our customers meet us.
  • You will be trained here.We have been hiring and training in Southern California since 1970. Experience helps; the willingness to do the job properly matters more.
  • The company intends to outlast your career.Three generations, one family, one phone number. In year twelve somebody still has to pick it up, and that shapes how the work gets done today.
